Podere di Pomaio: Improving the world, one bottle at a time
Stirling Ackroyd is proud to announce the rental agreement of a prime rental unit on the ever popular Brick Lane. We marketed the property on a new lease to some of our known buyers and within a few weeks we’d got offers 25% above asking. The deal concluded with Podere di Pomaio, a very interesting wine company who are new entry to the UK market.
Where Podere di Pomaio come from:
Podere di Pomaio • Green Winery is a very small, young Sustainable & Organic Wine Company in Tuscany established by two young brothers, Iacopo Rossi who is the Wine Maker and the real heart & head of the company and Marco Rossi who is the sommelier and wine geek. Iacopo and Marco are part of the new wave of Tuscan wine makers and strongly believe in the concept of short chain even when it comes to ideas, the Eco-wine cellar was awarded as one of the 20 most beautiful design wine cellars of Tuscany was designed by Arch Marisa Lo Cigno, their father's girlfriend, while the sustainable concept from the very beginning was brought in by their father himself who they call Maestro, seen more as a philosopher teaching them how to respect the hill, nature and people taking their time to drink Podere di Pomaio's wines.
The new space will have both a wine bar area and a restaurant area and will be serving craft wine & Food (mainly form Tuscany but not only) at Brick Lane 224 from 11am to 11pm starting from the end of June, beginning of July 2016. The architect renovating the place is of course Marisa Lo Cigno who designed Podere di Pomaio's awarded ECO-wine cellar, you might find her looking around antique markets and small shops in Italy to find the last pieces of Craft furniture. The front line of the wine bar will be represented by Marco & Luca. Luca will be there every day to introduce you to the world of really small craft producers and to the dishes that Francesco & Daniele will propose, while Iacopo will keep Focusing in making great craft wines in Tuscany, Marco will keep moving around since before a great vintage comes out you already need to start working on a new one!
