Stations Around Stratford Are Rezoned

News at Stirling Ackroyd | 19/01/2016

To keep up with the capital moving eastwards, TFL have rezoned seven stations around Stratford, saving commuters hundreds of pounds every year.

The stations affected are:

  • Stratford

  • Stratford High Street

  • Stratford International DLR

  • Star Lane

  • Abbey Road

  • Canning Town

  • West Ham

These have all now been rezoned from Zone 3 into a new Zone 2/3. People traveling from these stations with an annual ticket will now save £224 a year thanks to the rezoning.

The Mayor of London says: “This (rezoning) provides long overdue recognition that London is moving East and there is much more to do.

“Rezoning East London will accelerate growth, bring additional investment and visitors and create much needed jobs and homes.”

Stirling Ackroyd’s Head of New Homes Stephen Porter says: “The rezoning of these key stations is an exciting change for not only developers in the area but also for residents looking to move further East. The regeneration of Stratford since the 2012 Olympics and cheaper travel is quickly making Stratford a more attractive place to live and invest.”
