From the 3rd – 6th April our colleagues kick started the fundraising for 2023 and took part in an ‘Easter Baking Challenge’.
Easter is a time for new beginnings, a time for celebration, and what better way to mark the occasion than by taking part in an Easter baking challenge for Shooting Star Hospice? Not only did we have the opportunity to showcase our baking skills, but we also had the chance to support an incredibly worthy cause.
Shooting Star Hospice is a leading children’s hospice charity supporting over 700 children, and their families, throughout Surrey and across 14 boroughs of London, 365 days a year.
The hospice care offers a wide range of services, and it takes £8.8 million annually to do so, with only 11% coming from central government funding which is why long-term support from Stirling Ackroyd really matters.
The challenge was simple, colleagues were asked to have an Easter bake off, from brownies and cupcakes to cookies and rocky road, the creativity and talent on display was inspiring and it was lovely to see so many of us come together to support Shooting Star Hospice. Every penny raised would go towards providing care and support to those who need it most. We are delighted to announce that we raised an incredible £786.06 for Shooting Star Hospice to help fund their vital work, providing medical care, respite and support services to children and young people with life-limited conditions, as well as their families.

Our next charity event is Friday 26th May where a handful of colleagues will be taking part in a Stirling Ackroyd Marathon aiming to run 26.2 miles around Central London. If you would like to donate, you can do so here.
